On Sunday we visited the legacy museum, and it was very heavy. There was a part where we walked in and visually saw the suffering of slaves chained. It gave me gooseberry as I walked across the trail. I think everyone needs to experience the museum to better understand the depths and truths of slavery. We also visited a memorial that was the most impactful to me. The memorials of slaves who were lynched went from being in front of you as you walked to hanging from the ceiling. This visual gave me time to reflect on what I had learned so far that day.
